Eng 11 Notes: Nov. 26, 2015

Hello! Today and tomorrow we'll be working on the memoir, which was described earlier. There are many ways to write a memoir, but here are some guides:

1. Begin with an exposition: who, what, when, and where. Use vivid descriptions so that the reader can understand the context.
2. Your middle should feature two or three events that add complications to a situation, making it slowly more tense.
3. Your final paragraph should feature the most exciting event, and the resolution: what did you learn from this experience?
4. Finally, since this is a memoir, it's best to use the simple past (helped, walked, etc) to keep the grammar manageable.

Good luck! For tomorrow, please complete the first paragraph of your memoir.
