Good morning!
Before we begin:
a. Today's the last day! Assignments handed in tomorrow will only be considered if you've come and talked to me.
b. Let's watch some videos!
Here's what we're up to today:
1. Remember that next week lessons continue at the same time, but in Mr. Savage's classroom. If you've been late or absent often, this is not the week to miss: the exam is worth 20% of your time, and this is a chance to focus.
2. Let's take a look at Part C
- Here are the rubrics
- Here are student samples
- Here is a list of all previous Part C topics.
3. How do we prepare for Part C? Here're a few tips:
a. Decide if you're more comfortable with a persuasive or a narrative essay.
b. Begin a brainstorm of topics you think are interesting to discuss. Start with larger topics, like love, family, literature, movies, sports, etc.
c. Within that topic, consider four different examples that would be good to talk about. Try to choose examples that are:
- meaningful to you
- specific and vivid
- show struggle
Good luck everyone!
